GAMMA PHI BETA
About Our Chapter:
Gamma Phi Beta is a sisterhood that is based around our philanthropy Building Strong Girls and our four-core values love, learning, labor, and loyalty. We incorporate building strong girls into our everyday lives by being there for our sisters and being true and constant friends.
Our Philanthropy:
Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropy is building strong girls. So not only within our sorority but all over campus, we try to build up girls and encourage them whenever we can!! Our biggest philanthropy event is a volleyball tournament called Moonball. Organizations such as fraternities, sororities, and other clubs on campus, pay to buy tickets in order to play in Moonball and the money goes to our philanthropic partner. Our philanthropic partner is Girls On The Run. In November, Gamma Pi Beta travels to St. Louis to cheer on the girls running in the fall race. We made posters, to encourage them to do their best and other posters we made let them know that we were there supporting them as well as girls in our chapter who decided to participate in the race. Some other philanthropy events we host are grilled cheese with the Gphi B’s, Backyard BBQ, and Gamma Games. We have also worked with the Tiger Lilies. Tiger Lilies is a program through Central Middle School that strives to provide a positive learning environment that empowers young women to discover their inner strength, build a positive self-image, and enhance their individuality, while at the same time promoting peer relationships. We painted their nails, got to know each other, and had so much fun!!
